ABOUT
BRTB is a Ukrainian architectural studio
Founded by Bohdan Rokhmaniiko and Tetiana Boiko. We approach architecture as a complex activity at the intersection of research and design. This methodology allows the studio, alongside classical practice, to develop its social and cultural dimensions.
Our projects encompass diverse typologies: from private houses to public and residential complexes. BRTB specializes in medium-scale development and building reconstruction, viewing each project as an important component of the urban environment and its society. Currently, the studio is implementing projects in Ukraine, as well as expanding its activities to Poland and the USA, adapting approaches to local specificities.
After the beginning of RF full-scale war against Ukraine, part of the BRTB team joined humanitarian initiatives, integrating their expertise into social activities supporting the Ukrainian population suffering from hostilities.
Our Approach
In every project, BRTB strives to create a healthy, harmonious, inclusive environment that enriches urban space and improves people's quality of life.
We advocate for a responsible approach to design, considering ecological, psychological, and social aspects alongside structural and aesthetic solutions. Among our values are respect for natural and historical contexts, user needs, and the expertise of our colleagues. In addition to design, the studio participates in professional dialogue and develops its theoretical foundation. The BRTB team analyzes urban reconstruction processes, studies adaptive building models and local approaches, and nurtures professional culture in Ukraine. Cooperation and collaboration are also part of the studio's comprehensive approach to complex projects. BRTB actively interacts with experts from related practices.
Bohdan Rokhmaniiko — co-founder and partner of BRTB, Master of Architecture from KNUCA, a graduate of the Taras Shevchenko Art School. Former co-founder of the ROUND architectural collaboration and active member of SYNECTIC-A. Adheres to consistent approaches in forming spatial solutions and attention to detail. Currently fully focused on humanitarian activities.
Tetiana Boiko — co-founder and partner of BRTB, Architecture specialist from KNUCA, founder and host of the ARCHPRO podcast. Has significant experience in developing working documentation and construction supervision. Formerly an architect at ARCHIMATIKA, participant of BILYI OFFICE cooperation and SYNECTIC-A. Adheres to principally high-quality architectural solutions regardless of context and constraints.
Currently, the studio operates in a remote format with the ability to travel throughout the controlled territory of Ukraine and Poland.
