The design process focused on two points of view. On one hand we concentrated on the aesthetic of compositions, textures, and colours for the video shot. On the other hand, certain technical requirements and convenient transformation during broadcasting.
The whole space is divided on NEWS and TALK zones.
The NEWS zone is organised with standing modular desks in front of the media screen. The rough texture of the background concrete wall emphasises the built-in screens' high resolution. Sharp-angled white glossy desks highlight the first plan in video shots. The furniture was designed by Ivan Protasov during his architectural internship in Tokyo.
For the arrangement of the TALK zone we proposed a modular podium. It provides various seating compositions for in video shot.
The wall covering was developed to provide special acoustic requirements. Modular acoustic panels consisting of hollow wooden frames, backlighting borders, and felt finishing. The backlighting protects video shots from black "caves" on exposition. Prototypes were made by Bohdan Filonov.
The sliding glass system is covered with photo filters. Therefore, it saves panoramic view from windows from overexposure during daytime broadcasts.
Dynamic zone transformation allows simultaneous performing of two programs with live interaction.
